I have been working out at Transform 180 for about 6 months now. Before I joined, I didn't do any exercise at all and I was not even able to do 20 push ups in a row. After only 3 weeks I started to feel a lot better with myself and I noticed a great improvement in overall strength. My trainer Colin is a great guy, easygoing, very knowledgeable, patient and he is always trying to push me to my limits. I had never had an exercise session where I feel that I didn't work out. I went to Transform 180 initially because of the great deal on Groupon. I kept going because I really enjoyed Nate's style of teaching and size of the gym. The gym isn't large and intimidating. There are usually only 6-8 people there and all the equipment you need is readily available. As for working out with Nate, I couldn't have asked for a better trainer! As a nurse, proper body mechanics and good form are important to me. Nate utilized good technique with pushing my limits. I only worked out with Nate for 5 months (I am moving out of Seattle soon), but I saw huge improvements on the amount of weight used from the beginning to the end. There were a lot of times I wanted to say I can't, but Nate always encouraged me. He also had a good sense of humor and helped me laugh instead of focusing on how hard something was. I feel great about my decision to train at Transform 180! I have noticed changes at work and when doing cardio; I feel stronger and have more endurance. If I ever come back to Seattle, Transform 180 will be one of my first stops. Thanks guys!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Charith and Transform 180 Training. I came in with the general goal of getting into better shape and losing weight. As a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy, I presented Charith with a unique case, but he was undaunted. After only a few months, I've seen pretty awesome improvement.
I love that Charith is constantly upbeat and encouraging and that I have never done exactly the same routine twice. I typically go in twice a week, but Charith always gives me exercises to work on in between appointments. I am so excited by the steady progress that I can already see and I can't wait for what awaits.
Whatever your physical goals may be, I can attest to the fact that Charith is the guy to guide you toward achieving them and he'll even keep you smiling along the way.

I absolutely love training at Transform 180, I definitely recommend this place. Before going there, I was a complete beginner, I had never lifted any weights and barely knew what a squat was. I had a little bit of fat I wanted to get rid of and I wanted to tone my body. The owner of the gym Charith responded very quickly to my questions and appointed Jennine as my new trainer. This woman is awesome to workout with, she pushes me further than my limits and knows how to motivate me. I train with her twice a week focusing mostly on arms, legs and core muscles. Her sessions always include something new and I can definitely see myself progressing fast. I love the fact that I can see my body getting more toned, it motivates me even more to continue. Since I met them, my mindset has changed, I am more careful of eating healthy and I also added two days of cardio in my weekly routine and it feels right, it does not feel like a sacrifice at all! I've started working out there only two months ago and I have already lost 2% of body fat and gained a lot of muscles! I am loving the results and definitely want to continue working out at Transform 180. If you are thinking of joining the gym, whatever your level, don't look further, this is THE place to workout at in an environment where you never feel judged and where you feel that you are a valued person!!

You have got to try out Transform 180! I have tried other trainers, Groupon deals, classes at the gym and none have compared to the results I have seen working out with trainer Jordan. Jordan has been active his entire life and has an incredible working knowledge of how to get fit and stay that way. When I came to Transform 180, I was out of shape and nursing a knee injury. Jordan created a plan that has helped me become stronger, leaner and virtually injury free. Honestly, you're reading this review because you want to find a great place to get in shape. You've found it. Now get going - what have you got to lose? Well - YOU know what you've got to lose - and you will.
Before I joined Transform180, I was your classic couch potato. I barely got any exercise and found it hard to workout at a gym. What's worse is that when I did my gym window shopping, the trainers seemed like salesmen rather than fitness trainers. Since I joined Transform180 five months ago, things have changed. I now look forward to my appointments. I have a lot more energy and just generally feel better at work and home. My trainer, Nate, keeps me focused at the gym by making a workout plan and making me stick to it. What I like best is that, when necessary, he can improvise and change things up. He keeps track of my workouts so I know what my progress is. Thats the reason I stay motivated with my appointments. Nate is a fun guy and keeps things light at the gym which just makes you feel comfortable with your workouts. I would love to see a shower room installed in the gym but that doesn't deter me from having great appointments. The owner Charith was the perfect representative for his gym. He himself is in great shape and always has words of encouragement for me. Rather than being an aggressive salesman, he gave me helpful tips when I toured the facility. In short, Transform180 gave me the help I needed to get into shape. I am very confident that I can continue exceeding my fitness goals at Transform180. UPDATE: They installed a shower last month after receiving feedback on this. The shower is great. I don't have to walk to my office locker room anymore in my gym clothes while its pouring outside. This business really listens to customer feedback and then acts on it.

When I started to train at TransFORM180 I wasn't obese, but definitely had some weight to lose and wanted to be in better shape. What I particularly like about Jordan is that he looks at me as a whole as opposed to giving me some exercise and counting the sets and reps. Since joining TransFORM 180 and training with Jordan he has helped me to tone and strengthen my body. The eating plan that Charith developed for me has helped me lose some weight. Jordan is extremely encouraging and pushes me to achieve the goals we have set. The workouts are always different and I look forward to each session. This is the only training I've ever been able to stick with! I usually hate being in a gym and don't train seriously for anything. Charith has such vast knowledge--he worked with me to develop my own goals instead of the cookie-cutter fitness magazine goals. Then he designs workouts specifically for me/my goals; I've never done the same workout twice and I've been working with him for almost a year! His focus is always the long term goal of health for his clients and he is dedicated to helping us achieve it. I have learned so much from training with him, and my motivation to work out on my own has increased as well. He is the most EFFECTIVE trainer I've ever worked with!!

I started training with Nate after I found a groupon deal.I wanted to tone my body and thought this was a great opportunity to start. I was also under assumption that I was fit but when I joined transform 180 I soon knew I was wrong.I basically joined only to reduce the love handles.Now after almost 2 months when I see myself slimmer than ever and in shape. I could not have achieved this without Nate's help. Working with Nate brought me to a whole new level of fitness.He and Charith guided me with the nutrition and also for workout for those days when I dont visit transform 180.He always pushed me to my max.What more could you ask for in a training experience? I feel like the sessions are great investment for myself, while in the short term Nate has helped me become more fit and healthy. In the long term I feel like I have the right foundation on which I can start to build on. Transform 180 is a great place to start your training to improve your fitness, I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in workout and dying to have a good shape.

I started training with the goal on improving my back. In my initial days I was not fit, Colin understood that and tailored my session accordingly to accommodate my health. Now, I'm more energetic and having a better posture. It did not stop there. I showed interest in other activities like power clean and getting trained in that.
Transform 180 puts "Form" first and rest later. Colin emphasizes a lot on the form and its make a huge difference while performing any exercise.
Charith and Colin do not treat me as a "customer" for their business, but as a well wisher. I have seem them taking time to get to know people who train with them and inquire about family. It is nice to give such personal touch.

"It is not always how you start but how you finish." Over the past 5 years I have gained about 60lbs over my average weight due to health reasons, mostly due from my foot surgery and chronic foot pain. I was looking for a way to lose the weight with someone who could train me w my health issues and work with my schedule. Colin was immediately patient, respectful and accommodating. He has a positive attitude and is extremely respectful of my level of physical activity and limitations. He pushes me every time (in a healthy and productive way) and I can feel and see the results. It also helps that we laugh together since I am a bit all over the place due to my lack of balance and strength and I can be hard on myself. He is not laughing at me but with me, which i view as i sign of trust and teamwork. He also helps create motivation, which I can sometimes lack after a long day. I am glad I decided on Transform 180 training to help me work towards my goals- to lose weight, gain balance and build strength.

Collin has been a fabulous trainer. I work regularly by myself but tend to stick to things I am comfortable with, like the treadmill and lifting weights...etc. Collin has me boxing and trying out new and innovative ways of exercising and getting my heart rate up. I started training with Charith/Colin after I found a Groupon deal, thinking lets see what personal training is like. I was under the assumption that I was decently fit, but at the same time felt stagnated in my fitness levels. Training under Colin and Charith has opened my eyes to a whole new level and plateau of fitness, one I never even dreamed of being on let alone achieving. During the year I have been training with transform180 I can safely say it's the fittest I have ever been.
I have gone from someone who dragged myself to the gym as a chore to someone who feels queasy if I don't get some physical activity during the day. During my workouts Colin is always pushing me to my max. When my mental block kicks in he is always there to push on. He's also a complete stickler for form, pointing out minute details in my form that seem insignificant, but make a large difference in getting the most out of each rep. He truly seems to enjoy training people, which makes the workout fun. It also helps that he's super fun to talk to between sets.
Charith is ever present even when you aren't training with him. Even if you are working out on your own or with one of the other trainers he will be aware of what you are doing, motivating you and improving your technique as required. He's always coming up with new ways to "torture" my body (just joking!!). He's always willing to discuss my fitness goals, and designing a workout specific to my needs and ability. He also mixes up and changes the workouts on a frequent basis, so that my body is not getting too comfortable and so that the workout doesn't get boring.
Initially, when I started working out I had a minor knee injury and was afraid to do anything with my legs, I can now squat more than I ever thought possible. I had back pain that wouldn't go away and slowly I have built my deadlift strength to an all time high as well. I doubt I would've been able to do this on my own and have Colin and Charith to thank for this.
They have instilled the belief that no goal is impossible and all it takes is perseverance. I am constantly setting new goals for myself and beating those I thought unachievable. Charith and Co. do a fantastic job at Transform180. If you give your 100% they will give their 150%. I would highly recommend Transform180 to people of any and all fitness levels.

My trainer Nate makes me believe that I can get fit and stronger without being exhausted. I don't feel back pain anymore and my waist size is getting smaller and smaller :D If you are tired of looking for the right personal training, you should definitely give it a shot here.

I was working out on my own but had stopped making progress, when I saw an awesome deal for training at Transform 180, with nothing to lose I signed up. I had no idea how much healthier I would feel working with a trainer.
My trainer Nate is easy going, enthusiastic and serious about improving my health. Nate has been working with me for the last four months. In that short amount of time he's helped me to gain strength, muscle tone and endurance. He's also motivated me to workout more on my own.
I often have low grade chronic back pain due to my line of work. Two months into training I had a significant flare up after several tough work weeks. Per my doctor's request I took a short break from training. Once I returned to training, Nate immediately altered my workouts so as not to exacerbate my injury. Every time I see him he checks in with me to see how my back is feeling that day and has included specific lower back strengthening exercise in our sessions.
I feel lucky to be training with Nate and would do it all over again.

In less than a year, Charith Madawela and Transform180 have turned me from a flabby, 50-something sloth who was winded after walking up a flight of stairs into a fit, energetic guy again. Through a unique combination of exercises, tremendous coaching and support, and guidance on diet, I'm stronger than I've been since college and my waist size is going down. What makes Charith's approach so effective is the research behind what he does. He's a former aeronautical engineer, and he brings that analytical background into the exercise arena. The result is a smart, effective program tailored specifically to my goals. The key to fitness success, though, is sticking with your program. No matter how good the game plan, it's useless if you're not working. Charith pushes hard, but he does so in a way that keeps you coming back because the experience is positive. Exhausting, even painful, but positive. I truly can't say enough good things about Charith and the Transform180 approach.

He listens to my fitness goals and tailors the program to fit my needs. He is also very good at findng my weaker areas to work on. He is really knowledgable and encouraging. Moreover, I have a great time working hard and learning every hour we train together. Charith has developed a whole fitness philosophy including strength, cardio, diet/nutrition, and rest that accomplishes a healthy lifestyle. He weaves this philosophy into the each of his programs.
